Rubber Suction Rings create a dam of water within the core bits work area. The rubber ring is utilized to keep the core bit cool which allows the core bit to cut quicker and reduce friction and heat which could cause glazing or damage to the core bit. Rubber suction rings are also utilized to keep the work area cleaner by containing the debris with in the confines of the rubber suction ring.
