Kingspan GreenGuard® Butyl Flashing is a top-of-the-line self-adhering flashing membrane comprising a polyolefin film with a premium butyl adhesive.
It is available in straight or stretchable alternatives. It provides high-performance water resistance for walls. It adheres across a full range of installation temperatures including lower temperatures, ensuring effectiveness in most climates, and it conforms well to irregular surfaces, eliminating gaps that could create water canals.

If I have a brick wall, why do I have to worry about water?
Brick, like other exterior claddings, does a good job of deflecting hard rain. However, water soaks through brick. That is the reason you need air space between brick cladding and the wall sheathing and “weep holes” at the bottom of a brick wall. You also need a secondary weather barrier to protect the wall structure from water that gets behind the brick. The same is true for other claddings: wood, vinyl, fiber cement, stucco, and stone.
What is a house wrap?
A house wrap is a water-resistive barrier that is intended to perform as a secondary barrier behind an exterior cladding, providing a means to protect the exterior wall from exposure to water that penetrates the exterior covering or cladding.
